Lacey Facts

  • Lacey Mosley was atheist until sometime at age 16.
  • She can play bass guitar (received her first one for christmas when she was 14 years old)
  • She auditioned for a band called Sporos, which had Jared Hartmann and Sameer Bhattacharya in it, but did not get in.
  • Later, Sporos broke up and Jared Hartmann and Sameer Bhattacharya joined Lacey and James Culpepper to form Listen which went through a number of name changes before landing on Flyleaf.
  • She was kicked out of her house at age 16 after being in a fight with her mother which involved the police and went to live with her grandparents in Mississippi.
  • She started getting into drugs at the age of 10 and at 13 it got worse.
  • She started playing guitar in order to write her own songs.
  • She also plays guitar REALLY well.
  • Her mom Lori also is a singer & guitarist and sometimes sings in coffee houses around town.
  • Lacey has 2 nephews.
  • She worked at Six Flags over Texas one summer.
